Girls Camp 2008

The start of my week at Girls Camp. We went up to the Heber Valley Camp. The stake took up buses to camp because they don't like a lot of cars driving up to camp and parking up there. I don't blame them. It would take away from the beautiful nature that they have. We all stayed in cabins up at camp.

Here is a picture of all of us, leaders and girls, in front of our cabin. They had bunk beds to sleep on and luckily all of us fit in one cabin so we didn't have to split up our ward at all.

They had a course for the girls to take a part of one of the mornings. This included a very tall swing in which the girls would run, holding onto a rope, and pull the person up to the top. At that point the person had to let go of a rope and swing through the air. They let all the leaders take a part in this and of course I didn't hold back. It was a lot of fun and something the girls won't forget about this camp.

There was a Lake up there which the girls were given the opportunity to go canoeing. This turned into a water fight on the canoes. Luckily I wasn't a part of it 'cause I was taking pictures of them. The Bishopric cam up on Thursday night and when they got up there we took them for a short hike to the lake. This is a picture of us at the lake.
